This week’s Inspirational Woman is YOU!
Since launching Bahadu, many have asked what was our inspiration and so today we thought we would share our story and say thank you to all the wonderful women who have inspired us throughout our lives and who are now helping to shape the Bahadu brand.
Back in October, while getting ready to head to O’Hare airport, I was wishing that I had a stylish baseball hat that actually fit my head, so I didn’t have to spend the time and hassle of doing my hair.
While sitting at the airport, I noticed so many women who had the same idea, but their limited options fell short of being stylish or fitting well. At that moment, I texted my sister Michelle and her best friend Beth - “baseball hats designed exclusively for women” and the rest is history.
The very next day we jumped on the phone and discussed that as woman we all wear many hats, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, volunteer so wasn’t it about time we finally had one that fit our head and our style.
Our mission was going to be simple, awesome hats for awesome women and we decided that our hats had to incorporate three key elements:
Because one size does not fit all our hats had to come in a variety of sizes and also feature an adjustable strap to provide an even better fit.
We wanted to incorporate simple designs as well as a variety of colors and fabrics that would fit into your current wardrobe and create a complete and polished look. Our idea was to design a hat that was an intentional accessory to any outfit.
Our hats would save you time, limit the amount of heat damage to your hair and provide protection from the sun.
Ultimately, they would be a fashion shortcut that didn’t shortcut your fashion.
So thank you to all of the women who have inspired our journey. Thank you to those of you who have purchased hats, joined us on social media and who have shared in the collective spirit of Bahadu. Thank you to those of you we know personally and others whom we just admire from afar that have helped to shape the Bahadu brand.
